TIME

Time? What a big word! When we say the word time we think it’s something that passes and that’s it, but after a while we realize that it has a really big importance because we can never go back in time. Time is something that passes and never comes back, it’s impossible. That’s why time management is something that is really important in everyone’s life. Every person on earth, young, old, boy or girl must plan his life, must plan every minute and every second because every second counts.  Some people say that we should let time pass by without even premeditate what we are going to do, because if we plan every second in our life we will have a very tough life. But I think that this is not true, because every person should manage their time especially students like us, IB students, we always have lots of homework that me must be done in a certain period, and we must plan and manage our own time to finish all this work in this certain period. That’s why I think that time management is the best way to have the best life ever.

My Personal Project...

The 16th of February was a big day for me; it was the day when I have to submit my personal project. I’ve been working on this project for 8 months. YES 8 MONTHS. Want to know what’s my personal project? Well I had to create a magazine for teenagers from A to Z. At first, I thought it would be extremely easy and fun, but then I discovered that it was EXTREMELY HARD but still fun, because I spent time with my friends to do the photoshoots. But when it was the time to work on Photoshop, it was really hard. When I opened Photoshop for the first time I was going to cry because I had only two weeks to finish 50 pages on Photoshop, and I didn’t even know how to move the picture from a place to another. Yeah that was pretty hard. But then I kept trying and trying and then I discovered that it was easy to use it. So to conclude I could summarize the personal project in three words: NIGHTMARE, STRESS, TENSION.

My Poem : Along came Stace...

Along came Stace,
With a smile on her face,
She looked me in the eyes,
She was so nice,

Born into tragedy, she doesn't have a choice,
No opportunities for her to try.
We sit back and let it go by,
Hearing her screaming with her little voice.
Is it fair?

Welcome to the world of poverty!
Where the wind blows like a furious man,
Where the mothers break their heart
While watching their daughter die.
Is it fair?

They need our help, need our support,
Or this situation will always remain.
We will be selfish,
As they live they lives in pain

Qualities of a good friend...

When we were young, we thought that a good friend could be only from our gender. For example I am a girl so I should only be friends with girls.

But now that I grew up, I discovered that it’s totally wrong you can be friends with anyone as long as you feel; comfortable and happy with him. A good friend should have some qualities, first of all he or she should be supportive of you and your goals. In addition a good friend should be honest; he may not share every detail of every second of his life but at least clear about his intentions. That’s how who could trust him. Also a good friend is at least a fairly good listener and notices how little, day-to-day things affect you. They can't read your mind, but chances are they can usually tell when you're happy, sad, excited, shocked or upset. If they're aware that they're doing something that annoys you, they try to change their ways or at least talk to you about it.

Let’s just skip the part about the qualities of a good friend and head to the part where I’m going to talk about myself. Honestly, I love the friendship of boys more than girls. Most of my friends are boys because when it comes to advice I think boys can give you a better advice than girls and also boys don’t think about the little things like jealousy and that stuff. In addition I’ve been backstabbed A LOT by girls who were supposed to be my friends. That’s why I learned a lesson. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t sometimes when you need to have girl talk with your friends. That’s I have friends that are boys and also girls. And that’s how I live my life!

The Constitution

According to the dictionary, a constitution is a set of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is governed. These rules together make up, what the entity is. When these principles are written down into a single collection or set of legal documents, those documents may be said to comprise a written constitution.

So as you can see a constitution is a set of rules and principles that should be respected in every country. It differs from country to country

The first constitution was written in 621 BC in Athens, it was named "Draco", and it was the very first constitution that was written.

Let’s talk a little bit about Egypt. I think that Egypt right now is experiencing a very tough time, that’s why it will be better if people write the constitution before the presidential elections. Because right now the Egyptians are not ready at all for presidential elections. And people are actually not so sure about what they want for their country right now. That’s why the constitution must be written before the elections. May god bless Egypt!

My New Year's resolution !

What I am going to say right now might sound weird to many of you, but I’m just saying the truth, I've never done a new year's resolution before. Because I didn't believe that by just writing some of my goals on a paper I could really change my life.

But after all the experiences that I had in my life I began to understand what the idea of a new year’s resolution is and why it is something important for approximately everyone. I guess the people who do New Year’s resolutions every year are BELIEVERS; they believe that by writing down these things they can actually make them real. After reading the secret I understood what believing is and why it’s important in everyone’s life so I was really inspired by this thought.

That’s why I decided to do for the first time in my whole life to create a new year’s resolution. But my new year’s resolution was a very unique one because it only had one thing; this thing is that I wanted to become a BELIEVER. Believe in the things that I want to happen, that’s a successful and easy and quick way to get what you want.  Maybe what I just said might sound complicated to you but it’s not complicated at all. Wish you all the best year ever! :D

Globalization

Coca Cola - Symbol of globalization

Your shirt was made in Mexico and your shoes in China. Your CD player comes from Japan. You can travel to Moscow and eat a Big Mac there and you can watch an American film in France. Today goods are made and sold all over the world. Thanks to globalization, who made everything easier.

Globalization is growing quickly. A German company can produce cars in Brazil and then sell them in the United States. A businessman in Argentina can buy a part of a company in Belgium on one day and sell parts of another business in China the next. Thanks again to globalization. It’s not only about business we can also talk about fast food companies like KFC for example it’s now almost around the world. That’s what we call globalization. Everything can become in a second worldwide.

Everything in life has advantages and disadvantages just like globalization. The good sides of globalization are that it gives you more a larger marker. You can sell more goods and make more money and also create more jobs in your country. Globalization also helps by making products cheaper.

On the other side, Globalization may lead to more environmental problems. A company may want to build factories in other countries because environmental laws are not as strict as they are at their own country.  Also some of the poorest countries in the world, especially in Africa, may get even poorer. Their population is not as educated as in developed countries and they don’t have the new technology that developed countries have. In addition human, animal and plant diseases can spread more quickly through globalization.

From my opinion I don’t really like the idea of globalization because it only benefits the developed countries and it has many disadvantages for the undeveloped countries in the whole world. It also can cause forgetting a country’s culture. For example here in Egypt no one buys his cloths from the Egyptian brands everyone buys from “Zara” which is not an Egyptian brand. This is why I don’t like the idea of globalization!
